Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known by her outstanding performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter was awarded numerous prizes which included her first Oscar for her film Piano. The talented actress began her career in acting on the stage and has performed in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. The art of acting has been a constant obsession. In fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller. In the aftermath of suffering from Mumps, she went deaf on the one side of her ear. But, it was not enough to stop her desire to be an actress. As a young woman she studied acting in the university and later moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could follow her dreams. Through a random encounter, she got stuck in an elevator and met writer Beth Henley and the two were a team in Broadway Crimes of the Heart that became Hunter's debut. After that, she was then moved to Los Angeles and tried to get film roles. In Swing Shift, she landed her first role as a character support. Since then, she's appeared in many shows and TV films over over three decades. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
